Why I want to meet Brian Eno
Eno is a simple man. Really. Consider his occupation. He’s more than an engineer, musician, artist. He’s a theorist, a thinker, perhaps a philosopher. Mostly he’s a man who possesses strong convictions about the arts, a talent for exploiting his opinions artistically, and has consequently attained a certain degree of respect and admiration from a wide field of culture-consumers. Eno and I shall share a boutique blend of darjeeling teas on a patio shaded by quaking aspens with a small bed of hyacinth nearby. I doubt that we’d talk about music, perhaps we wouldn’t talk much at all.
